a pleasant escape
friendly staff short notice freshly cooked breakfast
the staff was so friendly and accommodating. we booked an extra night at short notice and our things were moved to our other room for us. the breakfast was freshly cooked, flavoursome and hot! the room was lovely and clean.

the breakfast is the best we've had and we've stayed many places. the menu has a decent range and comes in generous portions. meals were tasty and full with a full hot english breakfast.

it has a large car park and all the usual amenities of a country pub. the building is historic and has atmosphere. you can go in and out the back way of the hotel to avoid the bar.

large carpark historic charm useful entrance great flexibility
i found a large car park very useful. the building holds historic charm and creates atmosphere. i liked the option to use the back entrance to avoid the bar and restaurant. the staff readily met my friend's request for a custom breakfast, showing great flexibility.
the room gets excess light at night, i think blackout curtains are better.

the restaurant had wonderful décor and create a nice atmosphere. the breakfast had high quality and variety, that exceed many other places. the staff easily accommodated special requests, showing great service and attentiveness.

The king room was spotlessly clean. That ensures a comfortable stay. soft towels were available. there was also good art in my room, i find it good.

the location allows ease of access to different areas, beneficial for exploring. nearby towns provides additional options for days out. the village offers good scope for dog walks.

The room was spotlessly clean. the staff were very friendly and accommodating . i appreciated the large car park. It was handy to have (especially when returning late).
the price was a bit excessive, considering breakfast was not included. the curtains could have been darker to block out more light during the night. i also found the room to be too hot because the bathroom radiator was on.
